Discovering through Rice

I'm sorry for the late update! I've been crazy busy with my last week of classes. So, for you, here is a nice and easy activity that can teach as well.
Discovering through rice is a great sensory activity for young toddlers.
All you have to do is get a bucket and put all sorts of fun stuff in. Put favorite toys, pipe cleaners, pom poms, Play-dough; really, anything you want to put in, you can! Try to put in interesting things and things with different textures. It is fun to see a child's eyes light up as they pull out new and interesting things!
This can be adapted, if you wish, for older children by putting in letters and having them pull them out. Once they get two letters, the need to start making words. Count with them as they do it to see how many words they can make up.
